Onto your wire string a crimp bead, 2 if your beads are heavy, followed by your wire protector.

Now add your clasp onto centre of wire protector, before taking your thread back down the crimp bead and crimping your crimp against your tiger tail with your flat nose pliers (or if you have special crimping pliers). Remember that all the weight of your necklace is held at this point.

String your necklace/ bracelet to length and finish the other end off by stringing your crimps and wire protector as above, but passing your tiger tail back through a few beads to pull up.

REMEMBER NOT TO PULL UP TOO TIGHTLY AS YOU NEED TO LET YOUR PIECE DRAPE AROUND THE NECK OR ARM.
IF YOU ARE USING A TOGGLE AND BAR IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT YOU ALLOW THE BAR TO BE ABLE TO TURN SIDEWAYS IN THE DIRECTION OF YOUR STRINGING IN ORDER TO PASS THROUGH THE TOGGLE. THIS IS NOT USUALLY A PROBLEM IF YOU ARE USING WIRE PROTECTORS. - IF YOU ARE NOT USING A WIRE PROTECTOR YOU WILL NEED TO STRING A FEW SEED BEADS OR SMALL BEADS AT EACH END OF YOUR DESIGN TO ENABLE THE TOGGLE TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY.
IT IS ALWAYS BEST TO DOUBLE CRIMP YOUR BRACELETS AND NECKLACES JUST IN CASE ONE GIVES AWAY!
Finally you can always use crimp covers to hide your crimp beads, which ones just tidy your crimp beads up, make them look like a little bead. |
